The Daodeijing

The universal principle of dual entangled existence (Quantum Entanglement) and the mutual relevance that endear the ebb and flow of Nature's cocreative confluence (Periodicity), and the primordial Nature of Creation that realize everything connect in mutual relevance contrives the premise for the screenplay of the popular movie, the Butterfly Effect. Whereas the storyline is a allegorical supposition it is prudent to mention that the mystical allusion that everything is connected is a well known modern scientific principle.

In the field of quantum physics the Butterfly Effect is known as entanglement and refers to the equal mirror opposite nature of quantum particles, and the particle-wave duality that manifest matter in the advent of a quantum wave collapse,

In the 'Grand Scheme of Things' the elusive principle is pervasive and insipid, and fundamental to the nature of creation and existence. Unbeknownst to most the Quantum principles that Einstein called spooky and strange gives credence to the archane principles of existence in the Sanscrit Veda, and the premise is integral to the traditional Chinese gnosis of Yin and Yang, the function of the Bagua, and when they are applied without purview or prejudice they facilitate the function of the Oracle in the practice of the Daodejing. Both the Chinese and Hindu texts attest to similar principles that follow the same ontological approach, both the texts originate from cultures that have since become extinct, and the practice of both of them have fallen by the wayside in modernity.

The once common practice of consulting the Oracle by casting a hexagram to divine the Oracles response. In deference to it's recent demise in lieu of the lapse in living memory, the rejection of Chinese cultural heritage, and their denial of a once revered tradition. With the loss of harmonic resonance the practice that give credence to the principles by the application of their inference, the once trusted habit of casting a daily query to fathom the most auspicious use of labor and resources has sadly fallen into disrepute.

The same is true of the Veda, though the legacy is furthermore beleagured by dissonance, the controversy caused by the incredulous marvel of the text, stunted by the awe of its premise and refuted for the sheer simplicity of understanding of the 'Grand Scheme of Things', reviled for its duplicity and defiled at the behest of religious decree. Much of the animosity and alacrity of modern convention to persue the reason and imbue the meaning of the Upanishads is due to the added context required by modern language translations, and the loss of nuance intrinsic to the original Sanscrit text. The deficiency is akin to having to multiply the English Dictionary by three to achieve the verbal dexterity of Sanscrit.

It boggles my mind to think that the authors of either sources of knowledge devised the nature of Creation and the meaning of Existence, concieved the vested principles and fathomed the means to live life well without having access to the technology we use to measure, or the means to peer into infinity and observe the behavior of dual entangled subatomic particles. Knowing that they relied on astute observation and meticulous inquiry to deduce the relevance that abide in principles and concieve of the inference they proffer is a testament of innate ability, and it raises the question why we invariably rely on technology to prove a premise and whether the evidence we heed is necessary, if the data we warehouse and information we hoard has a value that afford the fervor of our effort and the cost we accrue by storing digital content.

It baffles belief that the author(s) of the Vedanta, the Daodejing and the Classic of Changes could concieve of vested principles and immutable truths that we only recently discovered, and it borders on the ludicrous that more than two thousand years later we would obtain the evidence to prove the dual entangled nature of matter that our ancestors documented. In reverence to the fortuitous happenstance that avail of the fundamental principles we now know as the dual entangled building blocks of subatomic particles, and in recognition of the genius that devised a tool that appropriate the fundamental principles and entrain the purview  of their nature into a practical application that has seen consistent use since its conception and prevailed for more than 2000 years on the strength of its users conviction and percieved usefulness, the accuracy of divinations and auspiciousness of the Oracle's augur in the eyes of the practitioners, its ability to appease fortuitous happenstance and provide insight to circumvent austerity, and above all the goodwill it accrues over time.

In contrast to its spurious use of late it is worth mention that the practice predate the reference attributed to Lau Tsu (circa 600BC) by several generations. The popular parable of a flash of insight that enlightened Lau Tsu to realize the 64 tenets of change from the pattern off a hapless tortoise shell Circa 600BC is nothing but a gaff to grift the nosey and disarm the curious, refute further enquiry, ally the suspicion and appease the concern of casual observers and incidental bystanders struck by the unusual curcumstance. The facts about who authored the Daodejing is lost to antiquity, but from the spurious historical account of Lau Tsu's life we know he completed the Tome in the final year of his employment as a Temple Priest in the King's Court. At the time of his tenure it was customary for the Priest to take the responsibility for counting the rounds, calculating the odds of each of the the six ascending lines that form the hexagram, and convey the result of the consultation to the querient. As Priest in the King's employ he was expected to pander to the whim of the Court and auger outcome of carnal scandals, arrange auspicious courtships, and predict the fate of lovers spats amoung the well to do and high society guests of the King. While the latter was a fickle frolic akin to duties of a Court Jester or Grand Vizier depending on the rank and status of guests, in deference to the wanton command of his liege. Whereas his employ was well rewarded and lauded with lavish reward and his respiand ibterpret to numerous  the the Priest to employment it is held that nterested  wise and by several generations both rulers and commoners alike to inform their daily discourse, auger auspicious events and devise the most fortuitous outcome. The principles was first documented in the 'Book of Change' by a scribe called LauTsu, but history accounts that the method of casting its six dual entangled components (Yin and Yang) was already established at the time it was written.

In addition to the Vedic and quantum expressions there are numerous other examples that refer to the same fundamental principle, such as the unity that the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci alluded to when he was quoted as saying:

"Learn how to see. Everything is connected."

In lieu of the aforementioned it is no surprise to find that change manifest to the ratio of Phi, in geometric expressions that inform the architecture of existence and the nature of creation.
This principle of connectedness, unity, and inseparable relevance provide us with a self apparent reminder of our nature and the dual entangled relationship we share with a another and the rest of existence. A blueprint to devise the method and means to manifest the present intent in sense and mutual relevance.
